Wildwood Crest oceanfront motel, held by reservation

From, for two$4803 nights, two sharing · $240 eachNot included: state and local lodging taxes.

At the southern end of the Wildwoods, on a New Jersey barrier island, the beaches run very wide and flat, and many of the motels along them date from the 1950s and 1960s. Our office plans a Wildwood Crest oceanfront motel for three nights between June and August. The sand here needs no beach tags, which keeps a day at the water plain.

You tell us your week, and we ask a motel with its own front desk whether a room is open. One quote comes back for you to read. If it suits you, a written yes lets us ask the motel to hold the room; until then nothing is reserved, and you owe the office nothing at any point.

A very wide, flat strip of sand

Wildwood Crest's beach looks out toward 140 degrees, a southeast heading, across the Atlantic. Behind you sit the town and its motels; ahead lies open ocean beyond a very wide, flat strip of sand.

Measured for July 15, sunrise comes at 61 degrees, over the water but well off to the left, 79 degrees from straight out. Sunset at 299 degrees falls behind the beach, over the town. Early risers get the sun coming up over the ocean, and evenings end with it going down inland.

Check in, check out, pay the motel

This stay uses an oceanfront motel that keeps its own front desk, where you check in and settle the bill at the end. Its name appears in the quote you receive, together with the room it has offered for your nights, and stays off this site.

Motel's nightly guest fee counted in

From $480 for two, $240 per person, for 3 nights. Inside that number: the room for two at our working June rate, and we count a $10 fee for each night, which the quote confirms (the motel lists a $10 resort fee). Outside it: state and local lodging taxes, plus your fuel, tolls, meals and extras. Your quote swaps our figure for the motel's actual rate on your dates, which may come in above or below it. Our notes on how figures work go further.

Carried in the two-person figure

  • 3 nights in a room for two at the office's working rate for that month
  • Any resort or amenity fee the hotel charges every night
  • The written quote and the request to hold the room

Settled apart from it

  • State and local lodging tax, added by the hotel
  • Fuel and tolls on the drive
  • Meals and anything you buy on the trip
  • Parking, where the hotel or the town charges for it

Warm months that match the June rate

We plan the Crest for June, July and August. We set our working figure from a June package price on the motel's website, so a summer quote sits closest to it.

Three dates and the motel's own words

Your quote fixes the facts for your nights: which motel, which room, the three dates, the total with the nightly fee inside, the taxes on top, and the motel's cancellation terms in its own words. Any local charges would be listed there too, and with no beach tags on the Crest that line stays short.

Reply yes in writing and we ask the motel to hold the room in your name. Should the motel want a card to secure it, it asks you directly. Payment happens at its desk when you arrive, never on this website.

Driving east to Cape May County

The drive from Grant Street to Wildwood Crest is 491 miles, about 9 hr 27 min without traffic by an OSRM calculation. Real drives run longer, so plan on a long day on the road with stops along the way to the shore.

Ask about your Crest week

Write to us through the quote request form whenever it suits you; the form works at any hour. Our reply names a motel, a room and a total for your three nights.
